Yulia A. Strekalova, M.S., M.B.A., is Grants Development Director in the College of Journalism and Communications and coordinates submissions of research and outreach grant proposals. She is also pursuing a Ph.D. degree in science and health communication. Her research examines how people communicate about health, science, and technology. She is particularly interested in how risk communication and uncertainty of scientific evidence influences people’s reasoning and behaviors and how information is disseminated and amplified through online and social media.
